newzealand, no LKO has the rights for any gas under the coal, the coal itself does not contain any gas. There is currently a moratorium on fracking in Vic so the gas can not be extracted under current rules. LKO also holds coal tenements in the LV, they are NW of the main deposit, however LKO have suggested they contain exploration potential of several billion tonnes.

I should add that Tinkler also has an interest in this rich resource area, see the MNM thread for a post about that. It seems the wider market is asleep about the LV. With the ALDP soon to be launched that is all about to change IMO.
