Yes, it looks like it has been a very good start to the year if you look at the stats. On the ground where I invest the areas are experiencing a drying up of stock after most was purchased in the last few weeks.

Also, the asking rents in these & fringe areas are rising & seem to be being taken up by tenants.

Prices looking good and rents very healthy, good news for owners and investors....hold onto the properties, get on with life and then rinse & repeat.

Finally, gotta say.....geez, I saw some of the bank share prices yesterday......looking good, glad I didn't short the banks and hope some of our more boisterous proponents of that strategy here on the HC property thread did not follow their own 'advice '.

Nice stable housing market, healthy rents and bank stocks bouncing away........should be a few red faces here.

A 5 or 6% increase in my properties would be quite a nice year, looking like that may be the case, rinse and repeat.

I don't care about the stats or who produces them, good for a read and that is that....know your areas well and think and evaluate for yourself.

    Best to all
