Don't forget how badly Turnbull polled against Rudd and the 2pp was disastrous for the libs under his leadership.
After Abbott took over, the libs 2pp started to improve. No wonder lefties here want Turnbull back - probably because he won't oppose/repeal carbon tax, is easier to beat and perhaps they have more dirt on him than they can find Abbott.
Surely the libs would not be so stupid as to bring back Turnbull as leader. If he could improve as a team player, he might do well as treasurer, imo.
