A recently undertaken international index in which Australia rates very favourably (the higher the index number the better placed compared to peers). Only Singapore rates above Australia.
Some highlights:
* Australia's taxes as a % of GDP is lower than the US and UK.
* Australia's government sector spend as a % of GDP is lower than the US and UK (actually we are lower than most first world countries on the list).
This is yet another source of non-partisan empirical data indicating Australia is being managed quite well...
