Strangely, I feel that it is a positive that SDL is now dealing with the Chinese authorities than Hanlong.
My Chinese contacts say the perception of Hanlong domestically is poor and they were not well known until they lobbed the SDL bid. Their inkling is that the Authorities have now taken this takeover into their own hands and will follow their due processes to get it done.
I doubt that Hanlong may actually get much out of this deal in the end.
