arton, the problem I have with the XGD is that it is heavily weighted toward Newcrest, which has been one of the worst perfomring large cap stocks for a long time.
RRL, PRU, MML and SLR combined is about 1/4 of Newcrest.
Due to the overweighting of NCM any turnaround in the XGD might lag the movement of the mid cap gold producers above.
In any case I tend to think that PRU is near its lows. What often tends to happen before a major reversal is a double bottom on lower volume. Could see it retest $1.80 before a new trend begins.
