I don't think charting has a place in small caps with low liquidity. The message is easily distorted & for stocks like MYG fundamentals are far more any indicator than a chart will tell you. A bluechip then that's a different story where liquidity is ample. Newcrest for example has been recently playing my very simplistic charting expectations nicely
