    As far as I am aware;

    The prior exploration costs are refunded by CNOOC from production till they are paid off under the JV agreement. So ROC (&HZN etc) effectively earn at the higher percentage until costs are recovered.

    I am not sure of the previous costs but at a rough guess it may take 3-6 months to repay?
