Re Roche: Yes, certainly a possibility.

Roche - In December 2009 - Collaboration to discover CPP's. Fast forward a few years and Phylogica have now expanded collaboration to discover peptides that cross the BBB.

At first, I thought the Neurotropic libraries (that Nick Woolf mentioned in one of his recent emails) were constructed just for neuro-targets, however the more research I'm doing, the more it appears that these 2nd generation libraries may very well be designed to identify CPP's from virulence factors in genomes of all sorts of micro-organisms, not just for brain specificity, i.e., other cell types as well. Now, isn't this interesting?

I was briefly looking at the TICHR website today and came across this image found on this page below which I had not seen before. Looks like the Phylomer BEN_5000 is the focus of additional studies with Roche. Was anyone aware of this?

I found this technical presentation below a lot more detailed than some of the most recent presentations, particularly the section on CPP's which also highlights the Phlomer I mentioned above. I think you'll find this very interesting especially in light of our recent discussions.
