Are you serious in asking the Board to tell the market if there is no counterbidder. You have raised this before.
Firstly it would be strategic insanity to come out and say that there is no one else interested. Is that how you try and sell a house......err just want to disclose to potential buyers that no one else is interested in bidding for your house. Ok if we tell everyone that?
Secondly, if there was a counterbidder in the data room this would be under confidentiality.
We are shareholders and do not have a right to know everything. A commercial in confidence matter is just that. It cannot be disclosed. We do not have a right to know.
Some things are best left in ambiguity.
