I would like to ask the geologists a question in regards to further study. I am interested at building my knowledge base to become multi-disciplinary. I have some questions:

    1. Do you find that your geology degree/ background helps you become a better investor at identifying stocks such as the likes of FMG, WSA, SIR, SFR and now ICG (maybe?) in the early stages?

    2. Based on question one, do you think that finding these discoveries as an investment in the early stages is more about luck or skill (i.e. understanding the geology, the people behind the project, is it in a new undiscovered/ uncharted region, the drilling design and potential mine design and calculating a estimating potential resource).

    3. In your geology degree did you learn about what sulphides, certain assay results and mixtures, and mineral systems such as porphoyry and the eventual implications of finding a large discovery? Or do you gain these skills from practicing as a geologist?

    4. I have been looking at curtins geology degree as you gain field exposure and am unsure about whether to go down the petroleum, mineral or applied geology stream. I like bits from everything.

    5. Are rock pictures misleading from ASX presentations for small cap companies with clear mineral/ assay indication. Have any of your geologists purchased a stock by just looking at the pictures of an early stage company? Is this dangerous to do this?

The reasons why I ask these questions is because I am genuinely interested in trying to understand the geology, would like to build a competitive advantage when it comes to the stock market. I ideally want to learn about different mineralisation systems, how to read gamma ray/ logging data, how to interpret seismic, how to estimate a resource and be able to look at a picture in an ASX presentation and know that this company has an edge.

    Thanks for answering my questions.

    Cheers
