Thanks for picking that up, thats why its always important to check your own posts before you walk away and shutdown your computer.

Thats not what was meant to be posted there.

The Mines and Minerals ACT 1996 - Chapter 42, Part V, Section 31, 32.

What I meant to post was;

A Prospecting License can be issued only if;

a) The potential Investor has reached an agreement with the Landowners to have access and carry out the activities on their land.
b) The Board are satisfied that the Investor has applied according to regulations.

(The above is the general gist of the aforementioned Act)

The license is ONLY GIVEN 3 months AFTER the letter of intent due to the process of application.

3 months is not a hard fast rule but it normally takes that long to process. In saying that, the investor has approx 30 days to make payment for the submission and application. This is where SMM got caught.
