As good as this announcement is, mgmt should not be forgiven for their inadequacies - constant delays, poor communication, a botched CR last year, overpaid relative to performance and minimal accountability resulting from these issues.
This is a great asset, with great backers. Unfortunately, the asset is attached to a company that IMO is not capable of efficiently managing mine development (even with Chinese help). Getting to the DFS is easy compared to what lies ahead.
When it comes to building this monster I will be long gone. Whilst the project may generate great returns I fear shareholders will not share in those returns long term. But my bet is that someone will be making my sell decision for me in the next 12 months.
