yeah, what would they replace coal with?
with 6% energy increase this year and 40% increase by 2040, they will need to get cracking on alternatives.
oil? nah, gas? some maybe, but expensive, nuclear? yes, but average time to complete one is 15 years. renewables? ermmm, don't think so,not unless there is a radical breakthrough in solar energy.
So, coal is the only option for quite a while.
