    But they won't find it.

    Last night on Prime local news, it was revealed that Telstra has stopped installing new ADSL ports, because they will be redundant when the NBN equipment is installed. Fair enough you might say.

    BUT the effect is that anyone needing a new ADSL connection now, is out of luck, not available, can't be had. An example was a new industrial complex that could not get any ADSL access because there were no ports available, and none to be installed.

    What that means is that new ADSL connections are not available now, and it will be up to two years before the NBN is available.

    You can hardly blame Telstra for this. But its effect on business and industry is obvious. Its another example of a bright idea not thought through.
