There may be companies running rulers over SDL or sweating in the data room. However, the board has apparently a blinkered view of the preferred bidder. Respectable iron ore companies are watching this saga with interest. Why not BHP, Rio or Vale? For a pittance $1.5 billion, it is a loose change for them.
