Its in both PPX and PXUPA holders interest for PPX to get profitable and perhaps to sell some more assets if that can be done in a way that strengthens the company.

Its in the interest of PIGS to talk up the value of PXUPAs to enhance any early deal. On the other hand it is not in the interest of PPX holders to do a deal with PIGS etc that unduly dilutes their interests. I suspect a deal is a long way off but hope management's efforts keep pushing up the value of both PPX and PXUPA. I hold both and am prepared to be patient.

My understanding is that PPX can buy PXUPAs on market but probably cannot do so for some time because of banker constraints.
