Simply Jimbles the well did not flow the rates that the market was expecting/hoping for ...... me included, if you look back I was expecting approx 120bopd plus gas from the k layer alone and I would hazard a guess that the management would have preferred the results to be better than they were also. But you cannot report what you hope, only the actual results and that can be a let down.
There may have been a number of shareholders who had punted the outcome and then had to sell to cover other financial positions, the low production results did not trigger demand and therefore they were selling into a bear market for NWE.

The market has not yet embraced the shale story especially NWE. There are approx 5000 shareholders for NWE. There is no one holder with 8 - 10% as a core. There are no big institutional holders so all the share price movement that you are seeing is simply daily churn as retail investors go about their daily activities.
I don't see big pump and dump .... just churn and reduced demand.
As I have posted before ... if you want the price to rise then you need to create demand.
So far we have not had any bad news, in fact the news has all been good, it is the perception of people with high expectations and short performance time frames who are causing the depletion of morale.
The K layer has been a difficult zone to deal with.
Neither the core samples/nor the scats of the K layer showed any flourence when A2 was being drilled, in fact none of the layers showed any so there were no thoughts or plans in place for a flow of oil like we got after fraccing.
NWE when they were initially doing their plan did not include a fracc of the K layer. It was requested/demanded by one of the other parties, so there has been a rapid reevaluation of this zone and therefore a lot more data needed to be collected.
Whether they have got all the data that they need or what the detailed story is only time will tell but NWE could not and should not be lampooned by shareholders here when they have stumbled upon what could be a very promising on shore oil field(Quote the DMP representative interview .. "The first onshore discovery in 10 years").
Yes getting the rest of the results is taking time but the management is extremely cost conscious and is doing everything in its power not to have to CR or dilute shareholder value.

Had it been a simple gas well then the results would have been in weeks ago including perhaps all the other zones, but the oil changed the whole game, and if it turns out that we have a formation which is more closely akin to the Gas/Oil or the Oil/Gas formations in the USA then ultimately we the shareholders will be the winners.

Think of how you would have reacted if another company bought us out and then announced that there was a major oil field and we missed it ..... I for one would be dissappointed to say the least.

Cash flow wise and timing wise it is streching me too, but the biggest delay was caused by the greens not the management. We lost 12 months because of them and shareprice momentum as well.

Management are doing a good job with the cards they have been dealt.

    Do your own research.
