G'day Hlingh. That "very small" choke, as the ann described it, seems to have HAD to be installed because the original equipment was inadequate as they seem to have underestimated the potential temperature of the discharge!!
The "very small" choke had to be used to ensure that "the well head temperature did not exceed 120C".
Was this a mistake by Beach and Haliburton? Just another reason why they should not have made any announcement, as it is technically flawed, just as the Moonta one was!!
Hope the media doesn't do what they did with that.
So far they seem to have been underwhelmed and the only mention seems to be in the good old Gold Coast Bulletin.

I'm happy to just wait until end March for stabilized numbers from halifax-1 and also to see what Beach comes out with from Holdfast-2, their horizontal well.
