Hi Pisces, I totally agree it will pullback at some point - stockcharts (or index charts) don't contain straight lines and this one has been as close to one as there's been for a long time.
My only point is that it might not be tomorrow or the next day or this week. Markets can stay overbought for just as long as they can stay oversold - for longer than people expect.
More to the point to your last question (when will people who have been on the sidelines decide to jump in), I wonder how long have people been on the sidelines thinking the run will end? Its been 50 points since the weekend, 110 points since the weekend before, and 310 points since 4 weeks ago (mid Jan) - thats a lot of points missed for anyone who was calling a top/overbought back then.
Cheers, Sharks.
