Perth miner looks to invest in NT
Another uranium miner has moved to carve out a stake in the Northern Territory, with Perth-based Cazaly Resources applying to look for uranium at Hart's Range, north-east of Alice Springs.

Managing director Nathan McMahon says the exploration licence covers about 120 square kilometres.

Mr McMahon says the Federal Government's decision to take control of the approval process for new mines means there is no better time to do business in the Territory.

"It is something that gives me a hell of a lot of more confidence, to go out there and spend exploration dollars," he said.

"Now that I have certainty that if our geological team goes out there and does the good work that we can actually develop the project."

He has also weighed into the debate about the dump.

"I see no reason why we shouldn't utilise those natural advantages if you like and look at it," he said.

"I'm not a proponent but I'm suggesting that, given that the natural advantages we have with geology, that we should look at it."
