re: resistance to flu vaccine on the rise Adamantines are not neuraminidase inhibitors like Relenza/Tamiflu. They target flu at different sites and are not comparable. Their widespread use in vet practice in China has led to mutations making their continued application almost worthless. Relenza was designed to fit a constant region that does not mutate in the flu (and so far it has been found fully effective against any strain).
