I bought from 2006 to 2009. I noted the old guy in SOL was in RHC and Huntley / MStar recommended it and just bought based on aging population / health theme after not getting far with some other health care companies but still thinking the sector was good to be in.
I saw the GFC coming and studied all the sub prime stuff early on but didn't believe it was going to be as bad as it was until it was too late, so I held everything except the company I had that went bust and bought various shares just before the bottom of the market when I realised that everything would be worth nothing if it kept going which didn't make sense to me. But I only recovered my capital base 17-Jan this year.
