Farmboy I think you are being a bit niave in thinking a change in government is going to so readily change Australia's economic fortunes. We operate in a global economy now and the impact a Government can have on its own economy is now much less effective than it once used to be.
In fact I am advocating a recession would be good for Australia in the long run. I have stated before Australia needs another recession it had to have (aka Paul Keating in the 80's) to bring down wages, costs, and the dollar to make our economy more competitive.
