Hi Moorookamick,
"simply have to work smarter and more efficiently" yes all good lets do that too - motherhood is good too
See the problem is I expect that continuing as we do with an overvalued currency can make us "lazy"
Great cheap holiday's to the US, cheap imports ...all great until the party's over i.e when supply catches up with resource no need to invest much in mining (less inflow of funds => lower dollar demand
By them a lot of our industry will be decimated or shifted overseas = big deficits => even bigger drop in dollar
Then we'll be twice as much for our oil/ cars (plus little if any domestic car industry)
No I beleive should leverage the good situation we are in.
That way we'll have a stash of foreign reserves available for when we need it and we'll still have the benefit a diversified domestic industry
Cheers,
Peteai
