Hey
I would NEVER buy a house and land package (I accept that there may be valid reasons to do so but it is a rule I apply for myself) because once the suburb is established the builder usually opens another down the road. In the end, you may own something that is homogenous in the area and, a dime a dozen - capital growth may be an issue.
Same with new units, check that the next set of units from the developer is not parked in front of yours and ruin the view.
Having said the above, if it is what you want to live in and are happy for you (and any family), do it and enjoy living there.
In the end, searching for the option to be content is the one.
all the best
