Well for mine the end game for any tech that's reliant on drying, which there are many, will be the conference tomorrow IF the CSIRO/Exergen/Ignites project on the DICE (Direct Injection Coal Engine) has achieved a successful pilot DICE engine that has been proven to run on Exergen or Ignite's lignite upgraded product.
If the DICE has proven successful and they choose tomorrows conference to advertise that fact then we should be getting some political/media coverage shortly after detailing the future of brown coal power generation in Victoria. And the DICE electric power generator, which has a low waste heat output, will be incompatible with coal drying in large volumes.
It's getting to crunch time in the lignite upgrade tech game and I know which techs I would be backing to be successful in the commercial end game, and they are the techs that are being showcased tomorrow at the Clean Coal tech in Melbourne.
Tick tock...
