Just for interest, describe for us what sort of dwelling your grandad came from as an Irish immigrant.

As a Scottish migrant, who arrived in Australia in 1957, I feel qualified to ask, is it not more important what you do in life and not where you came from?

From the age of 12, after my family moved from the manor house in which I was born, we lived in what would be called here, a Dept. of Housing house, even though my father was a highly qualified Research chemist,and as a chemist with Gas and Fuel in vic. when the family came to live in the Latrobe Valley their home (like those of so many others on staff) was an old weatherboard.
