At no stage did Watson ever say that. Watson did talk about his preference of where he liked to play and maybe you just assumed it meant he expected to be there. The media continually asked him and speculated about where he would bat and he continually offered his preference.
I suppose it depends on people's interpretation. You believe he put Watson in his place. I believe it was a little bit of smugness on Clarke's part. Either way, it didn't look good and makes me even question team harmony and Clarke's captaincy even more.
