Fordham must have asked her 4 or 5 times a very specific question, namely whether she was present and personally witnessed Ralph Blewitt signing the Power of Attorney used to buy the Fitzroy property.
She refused to answer - just gave the codswallop about having witnessed thousands of documents and "I always do it properly".
Well, this was rather unique. She was witnessing a PofA by a [then] good friend Ralph Blewitt in favour of her then boyfriend Wilson, which would enable Wilson to purchase a house in Melbourne in Blewitt's name. There is no prospect at all that anyone would not remember that clearly. No prospect. Blewitt says he signed it in Perth a week after it was dated. He says Gillard was not there. There is no evidence Gillard travelled to Perth on the date in question.
People are not stupid. The Victorian Fraud Squad are not stupid. Either Blewitt or our PM has to be lying. It will be a simple matter to track down their respective whereabouts on the date in question. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.....
