Not sure how I missed this.
This is pretty big news for Aussie Shale.

This seems to be based around Beaches Halifax-1 which we talked about last week.
Getting flows from 14 stage frac.
-Halifax-1 well is flowing gas at 3.2mmcf/d

Chevron will commit $190 million for stage 1 and if they elect to go with stage 2 $124 million will be paid out with another $35 million bonus payment at the completion of stage two.

This could well be the precursor to Australia’s first
    commercially producing shale gas project.
Chevron clearly likes what is has seen to commit $349m.

    Just what the doctor ordered.

Canny and Perth basins will be getting looked at you would think.

Remember the CSG run when the big boys started taking positions?
    The US shale run?

NWE hit 3.9c today. The price I got in before the Gov gave the green light to fracc and conformation of 4 flowing gas zones and a few barrels of oil.
