News: Leighton to deliver $120M transport contrac

    Leighton Holdings Limited (ASX:LEI) subsidiary Leighton Contractors will deliver a contract via Transport for NSW valued at $120 million.

     


    The contract is for the delivery of the Epping to Thornleigh Third Track (ETTT) project, and is an alliance between Transport, Leighton and Abigroup.

     


    The alliance will construct approximately 6 kilometres of new tracks for Freight trains as well as  bridgework and station works at Sydney’s Cheltenham, Pennant Hills and Beecroft stations. 

     


    Construction is anticipated to commence later this year subject to planning approval, with completion slated for mid-2016. 

     


    Leighton Holdings reported a net profit of $442 million for the 2012 calendar year.
