Doodle ... Agree the fastest and cheapest route to cashflow is the conventional sands package. Sounding like a broken record here ... But that's why it would be great to see a flowtest (volumes, pressures, gas content analysis, etc). As you say, the unconventionals can follow in good time as funds allow.
101 ... No doubt that Beach has lots of gas. But give me Buru's shallower wet gas (with a conventional perm package) any day over a deeper dry gas with high CO2. And Buru can sell to Alcoa or a number of others who are short gas (Alinta, Woodside) whereas Beach doesn't currently have a relationship with any of the Qld LNG plants (and neither does Chevron). Methinks its Beach/Chevron that are a long way from commercial production, not that Chevron cares ... They are banking resource for once Wheatstone and Gorgon have run out of gas (in about 50 years ...). Some argue that Buru has to build pipelines ... Well Beach doesn't have access to large amounts of surplus pipeline capacity either, unless it wants to ship to Adelaide.
