Your statement is incorrect the more shares on issue (when you get into the billions) the harder it is for the SP to move in either direction especially upwards. nothing to do with MC.

When registry gets into the billions it acts like a massive weight to any SP, why most traders/investors avoid penny dreadfuls in the first place.

Although only one of many reasons to ignore sub $2 stocks let alone sub 1c

If they did a consolidation MC would roughly stay the same but reduce the share registry. Then you'd see more SP price movement, though unfort after most consolidations SP ends back where it started as management think its a green light for more CRs.

Less shares, the more volatile and liquid the SP swings whether its a 1c dreadful or $50 a share.

Why stocks with over a billion shares on issue are often flat except for the odd spike.
