I have never heard of Luke Branigan and can find no reference to him having played Rugby let alone for the Wallabies. Duncan McRae played for the Waratahs in the Super 12 comp - roughly equivalent to his NRL career with Souths and the Bulldogs. So what?
In the modern era wher Rugby is a fully professional sport several League 'superstars' have tried their hand at Rugby, were given disproportionate opportunities and failed to make a significant impact - Sailor, Tuquiri, Rogers, Folau. Then they squeak back into League and,hey presto, they are superstars again!
PS Can you be considered a superstar if no-one has heard of you outside of Sydney, Brisbane and Aukland?
