Breville Group Limited (ASX:BRG) will purchase and manufacture Clean and Green compostable juicer bags designed by Cardia Bioplastics Limited (ASX:CNN) in the USA.
The agreement represents a shift towards environmentally friendly waste disposal for the global consumer products company.
Breville says the Clean and Green bags provide a fully compostable and biodegradable option to negate the unhealthy disposal of plastic.
Cardia is expected to generate strong sales from the tie up, and says it is well positioned to capitalise on a global shift towards green economies.
Breville generated a $31.6 million net profit in the first half of fiscal 2013.
