re: Ann: PetroChina and ConocoPhillips Browse... Any indication if Petro asked for Browse to be part of the deal or Conoco used Browse as a deal sweetener to gain foothold into China?
The latter would suggest Conoco sees more upside in selling off part of Browse for cheap (assuming this! otherwise why would Kar board decide to not let the pre-emptive option lapse if a big consumer like Petro was coming on board at a fair value?)
The former would suggest Petro wants in!
