If KAR are really in play, then they would have engaged an Ivestment bank to act as their advisor in any perceived transaction.
Anyone with links to IB's knows they leak everything in an effort to push up price, as their commission is usually directly linked to price.
While I agree that KAR are likely to be taken over or at lease "In Play" by the end of the year, I seriously doubt anything has begun yet.
