Those numbers you are using are for carriers of cystic fibrosis. You only get CF if both parents have the gene and then it's only a one in four chance. Populations with 1 in 30 carriers verse 1 in 90 carriers makes a much bigger to the number of people who actually end up with CF.
33,000 cystic fibrosis suffers in the USA. Are you able to find the number of cystic fibrosis suffers in China for me because I can't?
