In the words of NZ Resources
by Ross Louthean — 25 March 2013
"Apart from being critical to Bathurst, which had gained the regional consents about 1.5 years ago, the decision will be viewed critically by resource financiers and key investors in Bathurst who have seen the company shares slide through ongoing challenges from Forrest & Bird Protection Society and West Coast Environment Network."
Ross goes on to say
"Should there be any negativity in the decision it will have a serious impact on the resources investment picture for New Zealand, already tainted by the fact the Escarpment issue has taken so long to get to this stage."
not much more to add other than
Amen
