Right. Slampoil had a hunch and was right. NSE obviously didnt test 'everything' before signing off on the rig out of PNG. But where ever it comes from, these things are part of doing a good job. Like a truck driver buying a new truck, would do all that is possible to make sure the truck was in good order. The rig is the machine that drives an oil, gas...copper, gold...exploration business.

Sam is probably the boy-king on technical issues.

At least new CEO Phil Thick looks like a hands on kind of guy. Operations etc. which is probably what the company needs now but he is not upstream on the exploration side. I think ideally if the company is at the exploration stage, its needs an exploration guy.

Sam has done his bit. Fantastic leases, big JV partners and a healthy balance sheet.

Now the company needs an exploration whiz. Find the mother lode.

Then it would need the production guy to manage the build of the setup.

Then a sales guy to negotiate some fantastic contracts with customers.

Then Phil Thick to make the on going operational running of the business hum.

Maybe the order of these things and the people chosen(the overall strategy) should be better managed by the chairman and board...maybe Phil Thick and the board are looking for a great exploration guy...

What can ConnocoPhillips and Petro China bring to this table ? Are they not doing the drilling on the Goldwyer project ?

This must be one of NSEs own projects.

Anyway, it is certainly above my pay grade and I hope all has turned in the right direction.

Will give it a few months. It its not happening will move my money into Neon.
