Well its down 20% or so, and was beneath here a month and a half ago. Surprise was going to be cash cow and if there were big reserves, could ensure plenty of cash coming in and company keeps exploring with jvs things roll on. Now surprise aint looking so hot, jvs likely to be conditional but are funds for future exploring, and bargaining power down again it appears. Perception was to become small/mid producer with lots of acres to explore too, now I guess it feels like we are back to old days with no money and lots of land. Plus people have been hearing from Cottee things like jewel in crown, company maker, army sized kitchen- none which were really proven yesterday.
But perhaps the results do point to easy, cheap and plentiful enough oil for making profits- and a lot if already in place- tanks, pump, roads etc. Plus need to see what half farm in will be like(ep115) then Santos jv around mereenie to get full economics of this area. Good luck holders
