The article posted by Peace, Stapled Peptides Take a Torpedo from Genentech, is a fascinating read. If the assessment of stapled peptides by 'groups in Australia and at Genentech' is correct, Aileron Therapeutics may have some downhill sledding.

I wonder what Tomi Sawyer, CSO for Aileron, made of the comments in reply to the article. This one by ScientistSailor may have caused some heartburn;

"If any of you were still wondering why Genentech scientists poke at Roche...Roche paid $25MM for a bag of air that GNE already knew didn't work."

Still, colourful and unsubstantiated comments by anonymous posters can hardly be relied upon as investment advice particularly if they have a rather sharp axe to grind or grievance to lance.
