I think it's a bit early to rubbish the article.

Yes, people confuse Ta metal and oxide prices, but the price quoted is nowhere near high enough for that to have happened.

Time will tell if the quoted price is correct and if so, whether it sticks.

Maybe metal pages haven't got around to updating the price from January's transactions? Maybe they are looking at another part of what is a rather murky, fractured market?

It will be interesting to see if metal pages publish a higher price in the next few months.

In the meantime, talk of higher tantalum prices will do us no harm, notwithstanding the fixed element of our output.
