Imagine a fiscally incompetent Treasurer like Wayne Swann dealing with the Chinese. A Treasurer who, after years of rivers of gold pouring through his (grubby)hands, can't even manage to attain even a miniscule surplus, and is directing the Aussie economy towards a billion dollar plus deficit.
And a PM who told one of the biggest,if not the biggest, lie in Australian political history ie 'There will no Carbon Tax under my Government. A tax that is undermining this country's competitive economy.
The Chinese probably believe they are negotiating with children barely out of prep school.
