Director12,
Yeah strange things can happen. I had the missus spill half a glass of wine on a keyboard once and got the same result as the OP. Wierd.
Yeh, tell me about it, I built a new PC, it worked great for four months.
Went to start it up one day, dead as a maggot, MoBo LED's were on so it was getting power.
Went through the cycle of removing all of the components and swapping out components searching for the problem, had no luck.
Took the components to be tested, all A Ok.
Put the PC back together, dead as a maggot again.
Called a tech mate to come round explained the problem to him then hit the go button and it powered up perfectly and been going like a dream ever since, I felt like such a tool.
Some have said a local area voltage drop can cause this type of problem, I don't know.
