Kenny, what happened to Tony's "letting the market invest" mantra?

Spending $17 billion that would otherwise be spent by the private sector is not good economic managing.

The fact they are spending this money validates a couple of things:

1. Howard's telecommunications failures;
2. The private sector investing principle is boolshit;
3. The ALP's proactiveness in this portfolio.

We haven't even got to the fun the Coalition will have negotiating with Telstra. Based on previous experience, that is gunna be a dogs breakfast.
