If IDC has drill results they are obliged by law to release them. IDC cant sit on results, manipulate price etc.
Under your scenario IDC can hold the results back, enable people close to the company to sell down the market, if results are good pick up cheap shares (i.e. manipulate the market) and bring out great results. Alternatively if the results are poor they simply sell into the market.
That is a silly scenario because all of the Board and extended relationships doing the insider work would be a long time in court and probably in prison.
IDC obviously hasn't got the results to report at this time. Maybe next week will see some reporting happen and hopefully the gold bear shorts will be caught with their pants down.
