any govt will only change when we do - one at a time.
it's not that hard to work out, if we wouldn't like it done to ourselves then why do we think it ok to do to others?
no wonder the human world is full of suffering.

when it comes to what really matters, all that stuff is about as relevant as horse poo.

all beings all want happiness, or at least make an attempt to avoid suffering
but, despite having the faculties to know better, we are confused about how to bring it about

seriously, how can partaking in something that deprives another being of happiness, result in our happiness?
we may tell ourselves that it doesn't matter, but the conscience knows that we are lying to ourselves.
and when we attempt to decieve ourselves, we are putting up obstacles between us and a deeper, more reliable, happiness.

most of us do a reasonable job of being good on a superficial level - the payment for this is a superficial happiness, otherwise human life would be just about unbearable.
