Spot on Nicholas. If you wanted evidence of how the mining industry in Australia is going at the moment, you need look no further than specs. I suspect GMM is in a very similar state to 1000 or more other ASX listed entities.

And all this is before sell in May and tax loss offloading. Then again perhaps they have been getting in early.

As a side note, i cant recall seeing it as bad as this in the spec sector in the last 10 years and thats including the GFC dip. We've had a major surge in the index, but only to the majors. At the same time, specs like GMM have gone seriously backwards.

Often when things are like this it can be a signal to buy. Its hard toughing it out though.
